Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actor, producer and director. Her most well-known work is her leading role as deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. For her portrayal of Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. The show ended on the 13, 2012, following the conclusion of the seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was awarded an Golden Globe nomination for her role as Madeline Wuntch on Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film appearances include Oliver Stone's Born On the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) as well as What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). She also starred in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald, an educator therapy for families, a venture capitalist as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech Therapist. Her mother was Jewish, and her father was an Episcopalian. She was also of English origins. Sedgwick has declared that she is Jewish and is a part of Passover meals.
